A completely one-sided view of Desserts

I have a soft spot for desserts.

Desserts are wonderful and, in my book, are generally superior to the other dishes which precede and follow them.
I always jump ahead to the dessert section in a menu or scope out the desserts on offer in a buffet first before giving thought to the other dishes being served up.

There’s something about a finely decorated, elegantly presented, sweet piece of heaven that can uplift a person’s spirit and bring a smile to their lips and their belly.
A dessert is beautiful and welcoming, hearty and satisfying.
It’s a small masterpiece which anyone can deservedly indulge in as a long day draws to a tiring end.

So whether you fancy velvety chocolate delicacies or soft creamy caramels, rich buttery sponges or syrupy palatable pastriesfollow your heart…release your worries…and eat some dessert to feed your soul.
